Silencers

These are rubber tubes attached to the bowstring below the arrow rest. The function is to make less noise when you let go of an arrow.

Types of Arrows

Wood Arrows:

Wood arrows are the most basic and cheapest to make. They don’t fly as fast as carbon fiber or aluminum arrows because of their density and structure. This is not a problem for novices, but if you want greater speed, then go for high-speed carbon fiber arrows instead.

Carbon Fiber Arrows:

Carbon fiber arrows are lightweight and durable, hence their high cost. Carbon fiber is a few times lighter than a wooden arrow but a lot more expensive. They fly very fast so it’s not good for beginners. If you have the money to buy them, then go ahead as they can help with greater accuracy and penetration power.

Aluminum Arrows:

Aluminum arrows are the cheapest so they’re a good choice for beginners. They fly fast and far, which means they can also be dangerous if you don’t know how to handle them well. Just buy some safety equipment together with your aluminum arrows.

Fletching:

This is an important part of your arrow and can make a difference in its accuracy. Fletchings come in three different shapes: vanes, feathers and plastic. Plastic fletchings are the cheapest but lack durability. Vanes are easy to install and can help stabilize your arrows in flight to give it better accuracy. Feathers, on the other hand, are the most durable, but they’re also a bit more expensive.

Field points:

This is the tip of your arrow that will hit the target. It’s normally made out of metal and is sharpened to a point. This is not for hunting but for practice shooting.

Broadhead:

Bow case:

String wax:

All strings need this. It makes the string close to waterproof, increases string life, and protects it.

Field repair kit:

There are times when you need to make minor repairs on the field. This kit will come handy and can save your day.

Bow stand:

If you don’t have a whole lot of space in your house, then this is for you. This is to hold your bow upright and can keep it away from children or pets that might play with the string.
